The outputs are opposite. You need to give it 5vdc for coil voltage and run 120vac through the contact to your Indicator on the AC modules. Use 24 vdc...

It may be a poor design but it is the design of 90% of the hydros without softstarts we have on service.

I've never looked for AC ripple on a tach. Would this be from poor commutation or induced voltage from something else?

I would definitely rule out any mechanical binds first on that one. Bearings, safeties hung up, etc.

No idea of the cost but you just grab P24 G24 with Mini-Grabbers from the controller. I'll post the part #.

Well in my laptop bag anyway.Thyssen does sell a little tester for the 24 volt relays only. It has one blue Finder base and one black Schrack base.
