Not our week for Kone!! original we had emergency brake did not pick fault. We replaced the ADON2 board and did ADON learn and LAN car runs 30 minutes then started getting fault 41 again. We had emergency brake picked to CPU LED on but not the CPU LED. We then replaced the CPU inputted all parameters did learns and car was running again. No more 41 faults! But intermittently car now thinks it has 40 floors vs the 8 it has. So as it runs down 7-6-5-34-33-and so on losing position and faulting out with 150 and 109 fault.....?? What do you think?

Which CPU board do you have? CPU 561 that uses flash or the older CPU 40 with an EPROM(8meg) and NVRAM? Possible you got hold of a CPU Board with a bad NVRAM.

Have you tried putting the NVRAM from old board in new board? Double check and make sure no EPROM pins got turned under during insertion. Let me know what version of software your using also.

We put the old CPU back in and no more losing position but we get the e-brake fault (41) every once in awhile. Trying to get a hold of my guy on site to see if they tried swapping NVRAM yet I ask him to earlier. But cell signal is questionable there.

Should have changed all the brake micro's to low movement Micro's.
Brake Micro switch for MX Machines

Mfr Part#
Omron Z-15HD-B

Micro has short stroke trip range and prevents shutdowns.

OK we ordered in another CPU board but this one had paperwork that said it was not compatible with older software that we have!!!!! We got another older CPU off another job we have but the elevator will not allow us to do a a learn. It hangs up at menu 5 sub menu 2. But the manual on site is for an even older software version so we are looking now to see if we can match a manual to the software we have. What a nightmare.......

Menu 4-1 = Elev mode
Menu 4-10 =Cpu Software
Menu 4-12 = User interface menu number.

Anytime you change software version, you must do a 1-99 and reboot and reenter all Parameters. Get them all written down on old board so you can enter in new software.

Great tip on the brake switch! Did the MX machines ever come with these or do they just look similar?

As far as I know they still do not come with a low movement micro like they should. The Finns are stubborn.

The brakes are the biggest thing on those, keep the gaps and switches and washers in check.start @ 4thousand then goto 2 and turn micro in till it clicks and back out 1/2 to 3/4 turn and gold washers are loose when done.they need constant attention just like my women.

OK here is what was going on. The 77s magnets at the bottom were piled up and the car wouldn't re-sink properly. It also didn't throw any faults to why we couldn't do a learn trip. So as you can guess it was a lot of trial and error until someone spotted the magnets we all jacked up. The original problem was fixed with a new CPU but now we are installing upgraded software and CPUs in the other 2 cars. lowoil Thanks and constant attention can not be achieved with more than one women. But trying is not all bad. Rolly Thanks again to you.

Bumping this thread back up. So a new CPU sloved the 41 faults? Just a CPU? NVRAM? Both?
