Your are correct...Normally if we had a temp pump I would use it! We do have oil in the tank. The previous company ripped out the wiring in the hatch ...

Check the low-oil sensor. It might be adjusted right on the edge. Move it down alittle to see if problem disappears.

They are pretty massive. It's a group of 4 and this machine gears are pretty worn. I'll try to get some pics up this week.
