Yes,that 24 volt regulator can go bad and easily replaceable.Can buy one at Radio Shack,or use to.They just plug in.Forgot about that one.

Basically seal up as much as you can leaving access to blow out and vacuum sucking at the other end.

A plastic bag or sheeting ,duct tape and a vacuum to suck up the dust inside the contained blowout area works great.
