friend has a 3 car group of tac 50 cars. if car 1 is turned on, all the hall calls come one, and will not cancel. he can remove the comm cable that talks to car 2 and 3, and the hall call act normally, he can also run the car with no troubles, as soon as he plugs in the comm cable, all the hall cals come on and none of the cars can cancel the calls. any ideas.

Out of curiosity is this an actual Tac 50 with a card rack or a Tac 50-04 which still has Tac 50 on controller door placard? If it is a Tac 50-04, is it new construction with HN nodes or a Modernization with CNA cards for hall call inputs? If it is a traditional Tac 50 does it have a stand alone group controller, usually used in larger groups? I'm guessing that you plug in car 1 and it is taking over as the group controller, I have seen issues like this one on a 50-04 but not a Tac 50.

tac 50 with card rack of pmi boards etc. not sure of the outcome, i have not heard back from him think he went on vacation, ill have to remember to check back with him t his week
