We are getting a interminted 108 fault, when we get the fault the car will roll back in the opposite direction of intended travel. We also get this fault when we come to a stop. We were getting a 107 load weigher fault. We brought over weights and reset loadweigher. The 100% reading will chang up or down by up to 12% after a run back to the same floor.

It sounds like a LDW problem. If you take the car to the mid point of the hoistway and open the brake carefully with the motor leads removed, the car should balance at 50%. It needs to be within 1 counter weight of balance. After a run you should be within 5%. hoist ropes out of tension can also throw you off. This fault can also be caused by the Brake dragging on the Sheave and heating it up over a period of time, causing the speed reference to throw a 108. Also a bad tach or tach connection can cause it.

Have you checked the rope tension? All of the springs on the deadend hitch should be within 3mm of each other. If not the loadweigher will act weird.

yes retensioned ropes now we stay within 3%. Still getting 108 faults very intermently. Car runs perfectly for 10 to 20 trips then rollback witch causes the fault. We went over the brake and have ordered a LWD board and a tac. We have gone over all connections.

OK new LDW board installed and set up. New Tach installed. Ropes tensioned. Rails lubed. Brakes gone over. Still getting 108 fault and roll back in opposite direction of travel. We are making up the transformer and switch box to set brakes up with feeler gauges now.Any other suggestions????

Dan did you try adding weight to the car? We had a monospace in which we couldn't find the fault( kept on tripping and nothing could be isolated), but just tried a couple of test weights to the car top and the fault never came in again. Its a off broadway fix but it worked. We think the balance/load weigher(which we changed) was off.

Everything points to a tach error. The car doesn't follow the Tach, or the polarity of the Tach is wrong. If the car makes some good runs, then possibly there is a loose ground wire in the Tach circuit, or the shield isn't grounded or something of that nature.

More info We are now only getting the 108 fault in the down slow down-- tracking error. We can only run about 3 to 4 inches down on inspection and it pukes and throws a 108 fault. We are running car with and without weights and it doesnt matter. LWD now stays stable. John we changed the tac but not the cable as this is a remote run and we will need to remove a lot of ceiling panels. I may run a new cord outside the duct as a test though.

If the tach wires are run in the duct you may be picking up noise from un-associated wiring like motor leads. Those should not be run within 3" of each each other. It looks like it's a tach problem, could it be slipping traction, I've seen both on a TKE. And I know it will on KCM831.

I'd imagine after changing the tach you did an ADON learn ? 5-25-1. Your ADON board references the speed through channel 1&2. Are you still getting rollback? Is this North America or Europe?

North America. We ran out of day. But we ran a new cable across the lobby to see if we were getting noise being induced. And when we went to hook up at the drive we found color changes on the wire. So looks like there are splices in the duct. This is a duplex job remote machineroom so both cars run thru one duct so there is no separation in the wires. We will hook up our out of duck tac wires Monday morning and do an Adon learn run and see what happens.

You Could Try Slowing down the Decell rate.. Those Jobs are known for traction issues that can show up during accel and Decell..

No majic bullet here everthing we tried made things better we found splices in the duct for the tac and the LWD and tightened them. We slowed down the Decell rate. Everything we did from the begining of this post has made things better and we have the car back in service but we will still every few hours throw a 108 fault. But not the 99 we were getting in a row before. So thanks for your thoughts and I will let you guys know what happens next.

36 hours fault free!!! Thanks again. Junction box in duct run is a real bad idea. Wire is cheap compared to what we just went thru.

Hi,
Would you please we have faulty frequency inverter #V3F16L for Kone lift.
If need schematic diagram to fix our inverter, please recommended for us any free supplier if there is not find ,please recommended us other suppliers by prepaid .
