Have a 1070 fault. Know it's a levelling sensor fault. My hole count was also infinite 9's. Has anyone ever replaced a selector on these units. Is it just a straight out swap? Any info would be appreciated, thanks

Straight swap, if all 9's sounds like it lost itself. Might be worth trying to re scan the hoistway before swapping boards. There are two of them by the way, a main and aux.

Thanks silly, tried a scan but had sensor failure immediately from take off. 1070 fault would be from the main board right?

Yes I believe it's the main board, and sorry I still don't have an it's manual...if you have a specific question hit me up. Got me thinking, sensor failure...this a telescopic twinpost by chance?

They're the same if you ask me. I saw the same manual on vert express site but there's no info on ims only the uit.

Reason I asked is the sensor fault is sometimes the leveling sensors on the telescopics, though I do not think its the 1070. 1070 is most often, gaps in the magnets, bad board, magnets lost strength, in that order Beau. Hope it works ou for you bud.

Swapped board and everything worked out fine. You're the second guy to tell me about magnets losing strength this week. Is this a common occurance on these units?

I don't know about "common", but it does happen. The one that gets me is magnets that are glued, stuck or siliconed to the tape and they still drift or slide. MCE, OTIS and TKE stuff, they all do it. Hence the gap theory on the slowdown magnets for the TAC20. It does happen and it doesn't take but a 32nd of an inch or less to cause trouble.
Glad your trouble is fixed.

beau-
What new faults are being generated? Sounds like you're not seeing your hole count change as the car is in motion (loss of bp count- I presume that's 'hole count'). Your original was 1070, neither LVU or LVD were being seen at Door Zone (these are both ON when at floor level). You said the unit ran for a period of time after your board swap right? Double check connectors in the COP, Controller and Selector Box. Are you able to run a hoistway scan this time? And not to sound lame, but the selector guides are not worn excessively?
