was wondering if anyone has had this happen on the new stuff under 2010 code? don't know if it is the wiring changes they have done or ?????
..it went away
i have not looked into cold oil but i will see if they have it on or off.
tony i will recheck the battery jump, but i think i have been over all that with the tech people.
I can help you with this problem.
I am a Otis Employees and have been working in the trade for 26 years.
The problem as you said has not happened under usage,
It actually happens upon relevling.
It can happen when hot or if sensor is set too high but you have stated those have been accounted for.
Its in the valve but not what someone else may have already said it was.
Its seapage in the down speed and down leveling seals.
Have a seal replacement kit installed for the pair of down vales and your problem will stop.
If you can tell me the name and numbers on your valve, I can tell you the seal kit you need.
Most likely a Maxton UC4.
Let me know.
Rick
To finish i will order a rebuild kit just incase and yes it is a uc4.
The fault log could interpret it as 'low pressure oil sensor'?
ie not enough pressure to hold down control?
If there is air or water in the jack it certainly would create all kinds of problems.
Just to note, the car would still relevel with the doors open as its still in the door zone where relevling occurs.
Now as for the milky looking oil.
Can you tell me if the milky look of the oil occurs during normal operation as in a full run IE top to bottom.
Does it appear only when the car lands and stops then the milk appears??
After the oil settles and the car has not run for several minutes, is the oil still slightly discoloured??
How old is the oil in the tank??
When did you first notice this milky oil??
Has the oil ever been contaminated by anything that you know of despite how little it may have been.
Is the jack completely in the ground and how old is the job??
Is there ever been any oil loss recorded??
Plz let me know if your able to give me answers on some or all the questions.
Talk some more.
Rick
