I received a service call today. When I arrived the car was at the bottom landing with the doors open. This is a 5 stop duplex. The selector display indicated 6 and the decimal point was lit solid. The DS29 LED was flashing on & off. All other LEDs were normal.

My concern is the MHC board is going bad. We reset the unit and ran it for 3 hours with out any more signs of trouble. Has any one run into a similar situation? Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks

Refresh my memory, DS29 is what signal?

Selector reset T69 contact or wiring? Stack switch problem?

Its been a few day since the last call at this job. We received another call this time for someone stuck in the elevator. When we arrived the power was shut off the person was out and the car was at the second floor. We turned the power on and ran the car. Intermittently the car will cancel car calls. We also noticed the car when at a floor would run the pump. LU &LD photo eyes are on the reflector and our HHT is showing the same.

While we were running the car in the up direction the car didn't leave the floor. The valve coils didn't energize and HS relay didn't pull in. One of us and the building maintenance guys were in the elevator. So I had to shut it off and on to let them out. And noe hours later nothing. The only thing I have found is a loose nc aux contact on wye. But the intermittent car call cancel and the unexplained desire to relevel remain.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

check your reflector targets..make sure nothing is dropped from above and covering reflective surface..had this problem as well if a clothe gets dropped on a target car will not see that floor on the way down..processor is looking for this..cause selector to become lost..

Sounds like it did not transfer to Delta. Can you recreate the scenario, and see if the Y-D transfer is functioning normally? Or maybe this problem isn't occuring anymore? Did fixing that loose wire take care of this?

"the unexplained desire to relevel remain."

Could it be just warming the oil? I mean, is it level, when the pump is running, with no valve coils energized? That't indicative of an oil warming routine.

Exactly what he said. Plus, I found a washcloth/towel looking rag on a reflector once, that car had releveled until i boiled the oil and melted the site lenses on the tank.... what a mess. The Thermal Relay wasn't wired correctly from the factory.

Thanks for replying,
We were able to run the car until some trouble occurred. Once we had this condition DS29 was blinking on the MHC board. The decimal point stopped blinking and it indicated the car was at 6 one floor above the top floor. We then started to pull connectors to see if DS29 blink pattern would change. We pulled every connector off the board down with no change.

I believe its the MHC board... We are pulling it as soon as the customer approves our PO.

And always check DC power supplies on AC as well for poor regualation. If you're checking a 5VDC power supply and you read 100mv AC...That's a 1/10th of a volt AC and could crap out the processor intermitantly..
