Is there a way to reset the old schindler (mph) handhelds once they expire?

There is software called HHT that emulates the Westinghouse/Schindler tool. I believe it was orig made by Dover. It works very well.. Have to install the Visual basic runtime 5 files. Uses a serial port on a computer.
