Long story short, guy that is no longer with us accessed a few schindlers and reset the password. Was ABCD, just as any other I have, but will no longer accept. Is there a factory work around password or some other way to login, so it can be reset?

There are many versions of Miconic...
Miconic V I presume is what you're asking about. Kind of a Haughton looking contraption with one terminal that talks to any one of the 8 cars in a group. Correct? 80's to 90's installation.

OR...

Miconic A Scnindler? or some other version of Miconic.

This is my very first post, so please be gentle with me. My job is a trouble shooter who helps the service techs out when they need it. (oh and my shirt gets plenty dirty, thank you!). I work with a wide range of brands, but I'm not sure of the line regarding company secrets and other IP related issues in the context of this forum. So here goes.

Like Broke Sheave said, Miconic covers a range of Schindler stuff. Assuming, however that its a MicV were dealing with, then yes you can. If you have two or more in a group, then it's easier, if they are geared, then easier still. It does involve defaulting the car so it will revert to the factory login PW. Once logged in, you will have to run through the drive and shaft setups to to get it running again, but assuming you are familiar with the gear then this should be a doddle.
