Looking at take one on service. What is the good,bad and ugly on this equipment!

Pretty Ugly. I've worked on them years ago as well as the uglier TMS 500. They use to use this little terminal/ printer to get access to system information. It's big selling item was that it had a true dispatch backup as well as redundant network links from each car to the group. The drive had a pretty unorthodox setup procedure involving balancing the SCR current peaks to set up the stability of the drive. The ones I have worked on seem to be prone to losing power supply cards or what they call a BAM card. The name seemed to fit. The system options are set using a Matrix card with little pins to set things like door times etc. Went to one school on it in Las Vegas. Needless to say we were distracted.

Not easy to work on. Boards are not easy to come by.If the adjustment manual was left behind you have a good shot. Access electronics does a nice job repairing the C/B's. I believe they are a Kone/Montgomery joint venture.
