We are in the process of reconditioning a three story building in Logansport, IN. 46947. In our remodeling process we have discovered an operable kimball No. 2 freight elevator. Elevator functions, but it appears to be missing some type of manual pull belt, which allows for elevator to be manually raised from floor to floor. Elevator operates and is controlled by manual braking system.
Questions:
1) is the assumed missing belt for operating platform still available
2) Is there a histoprical or antique value to elevator?
It is not out current plan to utilize an elevator in our current scheme of plans.
Any input is appreciated.

Any luck getting your questions answered? My dad just bought a building with a Kimball no 2 freight elevator also & has some questions also. He is interested in selling it but has no idea of the value. Would like to talk to you.

Thanks.
