If you're referring to my post...NO..Schlinder is not out of business, and I have heard of no incidents. A brand new standard that doesn't requre you to have hardware checks..(RELAYS) in the control is what is being put in. All door and safety control, checks are completely done in software and it is addressed in the new code, and one of the big 4 is already implemented in the field, and I'm sure the others are feversishly working on it as well.
SO......
My question still exists is this?
If all safety and hardware circuits are being monitored in sofware, what's to keep the next step from being able to have the ability to jump those functions out in software for diagnostic purposes. And in this day of proprieatary control to take away that kind of diagnostic ability when the job is lost to a competitor?
