We have had alot of problems with these wearing out the nylon guides in the slipper shoes. Alot of these units are turned over with excessive weight leaning to one side or the other. Does anyone have a proven method for balancing these cars to reduce the wear on these gudies?

The cars themselves should be balanced pretty well. When the interior is added if not done properly tends to make it off balance a bit. I would look more at a problem with a racked car frame (or not squared to begin with) or crooked rails
