MPI-A,
Have you tried the board reset?

GS,
Is DPM picking prior?
Is DLAB picked while GS is picked?

You will get the GS input failure if the controller sees the gate switch made up when you don't have a door lock or the DPM input. The controller thinks the gate switch is jumped and won't let you run. You should look at the door operator. What kind of door operator do you have?

As far as MPI-A relative position high or low, you probably need a new ELGO tape reader head, sounds like channel A is not communicating. Flip dip switch F3 up go to controller system menu then "N" until you see ELGO A and B info. If channel A has all zeroes, and channel B has numbers (position info), you have a bad tape reader head. You can swap the shielded pairs on the TC-MPI board in the controller and then see if channel B has all zeroes, and if channel A has the data to confirm.
