Need help with a MCE-1000 CL w/Sweo SCR. Car shut down on 2nd landing with doors closed. Immediately I notice the processor has high speed output and the VVC drive unit is getting the HIGH input and the SCR interface has a run input and the Sweo drive is ready. Diagnostics show a btm and top flr demand and then the motor limit timer fault when on normal operation. The 2A flag show DMU and DMD flashing. Saf and Dz relays are good. Doors closed and locked. Checked U1 and D1 relays on MR insp then noticed that the run input on the interface dropped out but the processor and VVC stayed high. The guys at tech support suggested that the ripple voltage from the power supply to the processor might cause faulty outputs. However, the other 2 elevators in the group have the exact same peak voltage. Any suggestions? Its personal when a elevator kicks my ass on a friday

UA and DA reed relays, I think that they are on the HC-ACI board. Swap with another car.

how much ac ripple? more then around 20 millivolts ac can cause this. also bad cpu can cause this. is there a group controller? have seen something similar on IMC units.
hi speed led on, car goes not where, will run on inspect, but as soon as you go to normal it will light up hi speed, and not move and mlt. turns out that the car was not in the group, group led for the car was off, it had defaulted to car 1, which was in the group, so basically 2 cars thought it was car 1 in the group and this caused the problem it was really strange, but won't forget it now. has happened a few times

Hey fellas, thanks for the help and sorry for the delay. Im new to the site and fairly new to the service side of the elevator world. As a former construction grunt, it didnt strike me to check the motor start coil. Funny thing is, I disassembled the MS contactor to examine the pitting on the contacts and even checked the aux contacts. And yeah, of course, one of my brothers, that isnt far from retiring, found it like a tick on a dogs ass. And yeah, he told me the same thing...keep it simple stupid
