I tried using hyperterminal and putty to unlock an LCE controller but it wouldn't work. I had a null modem cable, correct baud rate and correct serial com selected. On putty it just opens a blank black screen and on hyperterminal the screen is just blank white and can't type.
Is the version 6.9.9 to new or something?

You can't unlock an lce with hyperterminal, you have to do that with uio or knx
