We are changing out a Miprom 21 from manual freight doors to automatic freight doors. We do not have a tool.

Any thoughts on the tool from Kone over the tool from World? Or any others for that fact.

We have several KCM's but have not had to use the tool yet on them.

Have two Montgomery escalators, and borrowed a tool from a friend for those.

You will need more than a tool. You will software from Kone. The World Tool works great. You will also need input and output boards. This could get interesting if the company forgot those details.

Be very carful, that could be a very long and winding road. I would not attempt this kind of change on a competitor's elevator.

World tool worked great, i preferred the original Kone hand held unit, as it was more portable. but both did the job. I believe Kone stopped selling there original "Brick" hand held unit. they switched over to a iPad type and a laptop computer type . i believe they sent us a brochure trying to sell it for 3500 something in that range. the iPad version had some extra features that might be handy, i believe it had the complete manual and other error code info built into the tool. give them a call and have them send you a brochure.
