I have a 401 elevonic with generator control, the problem is that the car oscillates during acceleration and decelleration. When the car is at hi speed the oscillation is not that noticeable. During my troubleshooting i have noticed that the motor field voltage is not stable, even while the car is at a standstill and on inspection. the dc voltage across the motorfield does not stay steady as it does on a car that runs without this problem. the power amplifier board and mf/brake unit have been replaced, but still the problem persists. any suggestions. on a car that is on inspection, and not running, the dc voltage across the motor field is around 27 volts, and is steady. On the bad unit, the voltage is not steady, it fluctuates between 5 to 30 volts dc, constantly changing even when in stand by mode. the car does run on automatic and does not fault, it has ran in this condition for many months.
