Whats up everyone I'm a 1 year apprentice out of local 126 Honolulu Hawaii. I have heard rumors that there is some locals that may have lost some of our work in construction to other trades (exp: iron workers doing railLs and fronts, carpenters building cab). Just curious if this is true and if there is other locals that may doing things different. In Hawaii on new construction the GC just gives us a hole in the building and we build it all, rails, fronts, cab, machine, pipeing and controllers. Im only curious because it sucks to hear that weay have lost work to other trades, and how to keep it from happening over here and else where.

From my understanding this is all part of the CBA. If any company is doing this it violates Article IV of the agreement.
