Just wanted to drop a note about the importance of the annual safety test of all the equipment that we are responsible for.
We had a person's clothing(dress) get caught in the escalator today. The side skirt switch stopped the escalator. The person did not want to cut the garment. They waited until we showed up and reversed the escalator.
This could have been worse if the escalator safety mechanisms were not working correctly.
So important to test,verify and never bypass a safety as a temporary measure.
I shall get off the soap box now.
