have a tac 50, 2 car group. car 1 will not answer hall calls, car 2 will answer hall calls. i can communicate to car 1 in IMS, however if i select the group and then select remote fast, just get waiting for response. cannot see group i/o's they are just greyed out. however if i remove the group comm cable from car 1, and plug into car 2, i can access the group remote fast and i/o screen from car 2. however as soon as i plug in the comm cable to car 1, then i can't access any group functions, even from car 2. very strange what do you think. both cars run fine,when you give them car calls. and they both recall on fire service.

Longshot but what does TES=?

Have you ran a temp comms cable direct to lift 1 outside the ducting to eliminate this potential problem?

tes=auto i think it was 29 but it was automatic. anyway found the trouble,
I did a self confidence test, and the PMI board 5, which is the board with hall calls etc on it, says no-go. so i have a bad pmi board. everything else works fine with the car except it does not answer hall calls. waiting for board repair, and will see what happens.
