I'm not sure, but you may have to do an encoder alignment first

Can you do that with IMS or do you have to have the TLS Keypad?

You should be able to get to that through the drive commands in the service menu. You have to either remove the ropes from the drive sheave or put a truly balanced load in the car.

Balance the load, change m16 to 0, (inspection speed) and run the car up. The commands are in the drive menu, encoder align, or align encoder, I forget which. Very simple step to verify.

Good news and then......

We replaced the encoder, board and wiring from controller to the board. We got all our safe inputs in and are ready to do the balance.

We did find the procedure to do the balance in the ACCORD manual with IMS.(appendix B)

However, you have to have version 2.4.1.0 or later.

We have an older version and the acccord drive does not show up like it says in Appendix B.

Got the man looking for this version of IMS.

Thanks for the help.

So you did get the drive to clear and give you Safe without an alignment? What changed? Did you replace the interface board again, or was there something wrong with the wiring?

Depending on what company you work for, it may be easier and/or cheaper to buy the TLS keypad from Thyssen.

Yes we got all safe inputs up without an alignment. It will not run on inspect even with it set to 0. But it does appear ready to do an alignment.

What we done different was to disconnect the encoder wiring from the con at the controller and hooked up the interface board and the encoder in machine room.(one odd thing there was it seemed we have to have the encoder in just the right spot to get up the safe input.

Once we saw that we just replaced the wiring from the controller to the junction box and then installed the board and encoder. When we pulled the wire out we found a short in the trough.

No fault codes and our safes are on.

Just have to align now.(I hope)

It sounds like the encoder position does have to match the previous alignment values for the C1 error to clear. Interesting.

AWESOME!!

We got the TLS Keypad and was able to learn the shaft. It is up and running as of now. We have not turned it over yet, got to come back later to finish up and test everything out.

Thanks IDWT,VatorGator,JKH, and Silly
