We have a triplex, that one and only one of the cars will intermittently not open the doors, and drop all the calls, or go to another floor that was not intended for. the only fault code is 16. The car will continue on as nothing has happened. We have verified our communication cable shield is grounded, checked connections. We were going to try swapping CPU cards with another car, but wanted to get opinions first. To get a new CPU card we have to get all three.

Update on this one..not ready to say it is done.
While two of us were in the car going up to the machine room, and the doors got 2 inches from being closed, it cancelled the calls and stopped the doors, and PI went blank. As a precaution we relearned the doors, adjusted the speed on it, and happened to notice that the communication cable to the load sensor was not plugged in well. Plugged that in. Looking at the group com, noticed that this one cars comm cable shield at number 10 was not grounded as the other two were. Although the prints do not show a ground, we put one it as this is the only one that did not have it. The problem has not come back .........yet. Before it would rack up the fault code 16 in a matter of minutes, but not drop calls. Intermittently drop all calls and pi. Time will tell.

Problem got reported twice today. Any other suggestions? We have been by several times to check the faults, and they have been there every occasion. The problem may be happening when nobody is in the car, or just not reported at all. Today is the first day the building reported it.

Possible bad modem on CPU card or Group card. If only one car does it in the group I would suspect that car's modem. The com cable plugs directly into the modem. If it has an integrated Group I would suspect a bad cpu card.
