please see photo gallery. Looking for write ups for these disk brakes. We have 2 -10,000lbs cars abd when you set both sides up to hold 125% each. The brakes no longer pick reliably. We have been told the job was turnrd over this way.

GreenPants, Here is the questions I have ask my guys to answer. Pick and hold voltages and are they adjustable? Brake coil ohms are all coils the same resistance. And 3rd check brake voltage on AC to be sure we are not passing AC. (I have seen this before and the problems you can get) But so far the answers I am getting is that both machines act the same way with the same settings so my guys are reluctant to belive that both units have the same problem. They belive that the one thing both machines share is they were set up by the same guy....

Which means the same guy didn't adj the voltages or the coil is maybe picking too far? Are the shoes glazed? Brake core dry?

Greenpants, Shoes and brake core look good. And thats why I need a write up so I know how to set up the pick and voltages to spec as we are guessing now.

Contros are Elevonic 411 with an install date of about 1999 to 2001. One of our new hires in Kansas City worked for Otis for 40 years and 25 of those as a traveiling adjuster. And he has never seen this set up!(yes he is past 58 and not slowing down) So you have to wonder is this one of those poor desings that was abandoned or what.....
