Hello - I'm looking for any feedback on bringing a mostly open source controller to the non-proprietary US market. Essentially the design/layout of the PCBs, control model (state machine diagrams) and control data (data dictionary) would be delivered with the controller. The compiled software is delivered as an encrypted package that requires a removable crypto chip to unlock; meaning one could theoretically remake any PCB outside of the OEM and load the software provided that the initial crypto chip is present.
There are other aspects that I would consider industry changing about this new controller design and I can share those after some discussion about it being open source.
Thanks,
Brandon Ortiz
